Happy birthday, tube!

Due to our latest discussions in English I found out that the majority of us have been to London. When I travelled there in business school, I was immediately fascinated by the city. It was Christmas time and on the very first day we went to the Oxford Street. I remember my friends and me just standing and staring at this breath-taking Christmas decoration.

London seems to a lot of people not very spectacular, because of all the other places where they have been, but I connect so many beautiful memories with this city.

In January the 150^th anniversary of the beginning of the London Underground takes place. This and because of the fact that we are currently discussing the topic “places” in English class, I’m thinking a lot of the travel to London these days. …and because I went there with my best friend who is in Philadelphia as an au-pair, I’m missing her so much.
